Our Key Activities
Highway Suraksha was founded with a strong commitment to protecting lives, supporting communities, and promoting public welfare. Since its beginning, we have been working closely with the Police Department, Rotary Club, Excise Department, and various local organizations to ensure safety, health, and compassion reach every corner of society.
Our activities cover a wide range of humanitarian and public service initiatives from road safety and emergency response to health, environmental, and social welfare projects.

Lifeline on Wheels- Free Ambulance & Emergency Aid Service
Through our free ambulance service, we ensure that help reaches those who need it the most. Many seriously ill patients and road accident victims were transported to hospitals swiftly and safely, saving countless lives.
Our volunteers have also come forward to donate blood in emergencies, strengthening our mission to serve humanity with compassion and urgency.

Drinking Water and Hygiene Facilities
Drinking water filter systems have been constructed and are regularly maintained at important public locations like Kodungallur Police Station and Kodungallur Munsif Court. These systems provide safe drinking water for visitors and officials.
During the COVID-19 outbreak, hand-free hand-wash stations were installed in public areas, hospitals, schools, and courts to promote hygiene and protect public health.

Rescue and Care for the Homeless
People found abandoned or orphaned on the roadside were given immediate medical attention and safely transferred to rehabilitation or care centers. This compassionate effort ensured that those in distress received proper treatment and shelter.

Flood Relief and Support Programs
In collaboration with the Rotary Club, Highway Suraksha distributed food kits, blankets, buckets, and clothes to around 500 flood-affected families, and also provided kits to police officers in multiple police stations.
During disaster situations such as the Ockhi tragedy, volunteers actively participated in rescue operations across the coastal areas of Kodungallur. They assisted the police in transporting victims to hospitals, relocating families to shelters, and organizing mobile medical camps to provide necessary healthcare.

Sanitization and Safety During COVID-19
During the COVID-19 pandemic, disinfection and fogging were carried out in various police stations, police vehicles, institutions, and residences.
In collaboration with the Rotary Club, hygiene and safety were ensured by distributing gloves and sanitizers to all police stations, hospitals, courts, and the Thrissur Collectorate in rural areas.
Furthermore, masks were distributed to the public and officials in collaboration with the Rotary Club, thereby strengthening preventive measures.

Free Vaccination and Health Protection Drives
Highway Suraksha joined hands with the Rotary Club and local health workers to organize free vaccination camps across several areas, helping the public receive COVID-19 vaccines safely and efficiently.
Furthermore, free health check-up and cancer detection camps were conducted specifically for police officers working at various stations to ensure their ongoing health and well-being.

Environmental and Green Initiatives
As part of the Green Project, Highway Suraksha took initiatives such as construction works, gardening, and creating vegetable gardens at various police stations.
Additionally, water dispensers were installed at key locations to support both environmental health and public convenience during pandemic prevention activities.

Police Welfare and Fitness Development
The previously defunct gymnasium center on the first floor of the Kodungallur Police Station was renovated and upgraded with quality fitness equipment. This facility helps police officers maintain their physical fitness, reduce mental stress, and sustain their overall physical well-being.

Road Safety and Awareness Programs
Highway Suraksha regularly organizes road safety campaigns and awareness drives to promote responsible driving and prevent accidents. These programs are conducted in collaboration with the Police Department and the Motor Vehicle Department, focusing mainly on traffic discipline, pedestrian safety, and emergency response awareness.
Educational sessions are also conducted for drivers and the public to highlight the importance of safe driving practices and health on the road. Additionally, anti-drug awareness programs are organized with the support of the Excise Department. The aim is to promote a drug-free and safety-conscious community.

Festival and Emergency Assistance Support
During major festivals such as Kodungallur Bharani, Thalapoli, and Triprayar Ekadashi, Highway Suraksha works with the police force to ensure smooth traffic and public safety.
Highway Suraksha also plays a major role in emergency situations, including natural disasters. They assist the police in rescue, coordination, and safety operations in affected areas.
